Graphite crucible of induction furnace is easy to be oxidized in high temperature and strong oxidation atmosphere. Therefore, strong oxidation atmosphere should be avoided when providing different pyrogens, otherwise it will reduce the use function. Crucible should be checked before the furnace cracks, gaps and other defects.
Graphite crucible temperature is 1680℃, that is, the surface graphite crucible can withstand the temperature of iron melting.
Graphite crucible used in induction furnace has good thermal conductivity, low thermal expansion coefficient in the process of high temperature, and has certain strain resistance to rapid heat and rapid cooling.
Natural graphite: It is made of natural flake graphite as the main raw material, adding clay and other refractory raw materials, superior in strength and thermal impact resistance. It is used for the melting of iron and steel, copper, copper alloys and other non-ferrous metals, with various sizes and melting capacity ranging from 250g to 500kg.
Artificial graphite: However, graphite crucible usually contains about 50% clay minerals, and artificial graphite crucible ash content is less than 1%, used for refining high purity metal, and after special purification of high purity graphite (ash <20ppm). Artificial graphite crucible is often used to melt a small amount of precious metals and high purity metal or high melting point metal and oxide.
